Jessica Mixon-Emcee

Jessica will engage and inform the audience as she Emcees the first ever Gifted Women's Show!

Leeann

Leeann Atherton’s voice is a force of nature, as electrifying and volatile as the weather in her hometown of Austin, Texas. She combines Bonnie Raitt’s grit, Billie Holiday’s understated soulfulness and her own exuberant spirit into a sound that’s equal parts honey and gunpowder. She’s able to shake your body and lift you up, while keeping your feet firmly anchored to the earth.

Shaelyn Handy-Poet

Shaelyn Handy Slam Poet Extraordinaire!

Dancer. Carisa is originally from McAllen, TX and has studied a variety of dance styles from an early age. While attending Olin College of Engineering, she performed with the Babson Dance Ensemble and studied Classical Indian Dance during a semester abroad. After moving to Austin, Carisa became a member of Volve Performance Collective and joined A’lante Dance Ensemble in 2013.

Dancer. Kara is originally from Austin, Texas and began dancing at the age of 3. She trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern throughout her school years. In college, Kara danced with local Austin company Verge for two seasons. Kara began studying flamenco with Encarnación Jaeger in Seattle for 2 years before relocating back to Austin and joining Olivia Chacón’s school, Flamencura, in January of 2012. Corean Gonzales-Cirque Artist

Angela Navarro-Artist

Angela Navarro is an artist based in Austin TX. She is has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from the Facultad de Bellas Artes de San Carlos in Valencia, Spain.

Amanda Williamson-Actor

Amanda Williamson, came to TX in 2017 to pursue performing her original works for both children and adult audiences. With a formal education in Acting from Temple University, she has performed across the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. She is also a singer, songwriter, and professional aerialist.

Griffin Gardner-Actor

Cindy Vining-Actor

Cindy Vining has been active in the Austin theatre scene since 1995 as a writer, actor, and producer, and is a founding member of Hourglass Productions. She is passionate about strengthening our voices as women and is thrilled to be a part of the Gifted Women Show and Expo!

Amy McAndrew-Actor

Amy McAndrew is credited with numerous theater, TV, and commercial roles along with two multi-festival winner short films called Martha and Derek’s Appeal. She has also co-written and performed in her own work for Zachary Scott’s Playspace and Hyde Park Theater’s FronteraFest Long & Short Fringe. A proud mom of 3 incredible sons and a recent empty nester, Amy looks forward to dedicating more time to creative endeavors. A big thanks to Jacque Nowak for producing this wonderful event!

Girls. Girls, Girls

Girls Girls Girls is Austin, Texas's original and longest running all-female musical improvisation troupe. Our award-winning specialty is creating long-form improvised musicals from a single audience suggestion. With the talent and assistance of real live musicians, GGG makes up songs, dances, characters, and stories on the spot.

Jacque' Nowak-Speaker

Jacque' Nowak is a dreamer! And as the founder and producer of this first Gifted Women's Expo she will share her "formula" on how to make dreams a reality!

Jaclyn Fleming-Videographer

Jaclyn is an Austin local who works in camera and lighting, moonlights in reality TV, and accumulates side gigs like a squirrel gathering acorns for winter. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2017 with a double degree in Radio-Television-Film and Spanish.
